Welcome to Ali Alta Moda!

Ali Karaata opened his first store “Moda Giovanni” in Beyoglu in 1965 to present to Turkish fashion lovers the fashionable items he sourced from Italy and France. This initiative was majorly influenced by his father, who was a tailor.

Karaata was the first to promote international labels, the first to introduce “haute couture” culture to Istanbul residents. Following his first store, he created the Ali Alta Moda brand originating from the word “Alta” which means high in Italian!

Brand New Store

He opened many stores in various locations from Bagdat Street to Şişli and soon Ali Alta Moda became the point of interest for the socialites of the city before going out, and it was this brand that introduced the Jean fashion to the youth.

Today the new Ali Alta Moda store designed by Dokur Tasarım Architectural Office, located in Nişantaşı where the heart of fashion is, continues to be the “first choice” of fashion lovers.
